Tarifa is surrounded by two natural parks. In the eastern area, there is the Los Alcornocales Natural Park, a complex of mountains where the largest cork oak forest on the Peninsula is found. The western slope, for its part, is home to the Parque Natural del Estrecho, which enjoys great biodiversity as it is a place of passage for migratory birds and marine mammals.

Kilometers of fine sand surround the coast of Tarifa. Playa Chica is the closest to the center, but a few minutes by car you can reach Playa de los Lances, Los Porros, Valdevaqueros, Playa de los Alemanes and Atlanterra.
